Pantone has recently announced their 2015 colour of the year "Marsala" and I have to say I really dig it. It's a rich and robust shade of wine red with brown earthy undertones that evokes all the warmth that it's name suggests.
During a time when people are beginning to once again value traditional craftsmanship, spirituality and self love this colour couldn't have come at a more opportune moment. In the past year I have noticed more and more people around me are wanting to connect with their core purpose and find their passion in this crazy, fast paced, material world of technology, noise and 3D printed plastic.
Colours have a profound effect on our emotions and being that I am also on my own journey to find greater connection and purpose I will be immersing myself in Marsala and all it has to offer.
"This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors."
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Colour Institute
