Brand Identity Design | 2016
Julia McCutchen is an intuitive mentor, teacher, author and founder of the International Association of Conscious & Creative Writers (IACCW). A former international publisher, she experienced a life-changing accident in 1999 which triggered a deep awakening that led her to leave the corporate world and forge her own path. Julia’s core teaching includes conscious writing and creative exploration to guide people to discover their authentic voice, unlock their creativity and transform their life to live in alignment with their soul. Her specialty is to bring intuitive insight to her work with individuals and groups to reveal their true purpose and provide the clarity they seek.
Julia wanted her brand identity to feel grounded and practical while reflecting the mystery, expression and discovery involved her work and her writing. The design of Julia's monogram style icon (shown top right) was inspired by the old fashioned wax seals used to enclose letters (before self sealing envelopes existed).
The overall look and feel of Julia's brand identity was inspired by nature, the clean and minimal style of Julia's home and property, and elements of the written word - letters, wax stamps and calligraphy.
Julia's strong presence, her credibility and her gentle nature are all captured and expressed through the lettering of her typographic logo (shown right) and the colour palette chosen for her website (bottom right).
